Oh well It has been almost a year and I am finally back. Truthfully because I have begun a new journal based on this site.

BEGINnings ... I am trying hard to leave my unfulfilled perfectionism behind. It only leads to frustration,anxiety and fear of failure. When I think of beginnings I see that each day is a new part of the journey. Each thing before me in my day is just another part. It does not define me . How I handle the journey does. Am I resting in my Heavenly Father. Listening to the voice of the Spirit. Accepting with joy what is before me, being content with who I am. In the next few days I will be catching up with what I have already written and then I hopefully will keep it up. I pray blessings on your day

Okay and I thought I was going to be way better with this blog. I guess not :o(
Since the last time I was here I had major surgery ( doing great now) and moved. We are loving this new house. we went from 800 square feet to 1700. And with two adults, two teens, one high strung 8 year old PLUS two dogs and two birds, we needed the room. We now have a fireplace which I love and Robert likes to remind me that it sucks heat right out of the living room.
every morning when I wake I see evidence of Gods amazing grace. Our old bedroom had a 6 foot ceiling; 6 feet 2inches not a fun place for me. Now with our bedroom ceiling soaring at 9 ft I feel like a princess.
I know I do not deserve this... it is a gift. I am so grateful
I am off now to take bread out of the oven...i love my new kitchen :o)

We are back and still celebrating our anniversary :o)
We loved the cabin. Time alone to enjoy each other, talk of our hopes and dreams. Time to pray and praise - thanking God for the many blessings that He has poured upon us in the last 16 years. We went for a walk on Thursday after having breakfast at the lodge. Since this is the off season we were two of very few at the park, giving us the feeling of being the only ones there. It was such a satisfying time, eating & drinking deeply of the provision God had set before us. I think later when I have scrapped a few pages I will put them up here so I can share with you all.

When we got the kids on Friday you could tell we were missed. YES ! Always nice to know that we are needed . It was so good to put my arms around my blessings and to know all was fine. I think we were all in bed by 8:30 with Robert making his usual rounds to talk and pray with them. It didn't take me long to go to sleep. I love my King size bed! Sleeping double in that full size in the cabin was a bit confining. So man did I stretch out last night.

Today has been another restful day. Just not getting a whole lot done although I better get done with this and go make supper. Wild rice soup sounds good.

Monday morning ... Robert is back at work and I am waiting for a couple of the kids to get up so we can begin our day. Lexi is up though and doing her beloved Tae Bo. She does it every morning pretty faithfully. Here I was worried about what she should do for P.E. this year. I would love for her to walk with me or Victoria but with her Asperger's she just has days that it overwhelms her to go out. I bought the video for myself but found that I really didn't like it. Lex popped it in one day and WaLA she had found her thing.

Yesterday we went to two open houses. One for the new KSB Cath Lab. The other for some special friends that have just built their dream home.

The Cath lab was awesome. It is so thrilling to see the hospital expand in ways that really help people. The nurses there were so excited to be a part of this new adventure. you can tell they have a passion for what they are doing. They are the type of nurse you would want to take care of you, because you know that the person is what is important to them. They had also opened up endoscopy for a tour since it is right next to the Cath lab. Since I was just there a week and a half ago getting "checked out" it was fun to go in and see it from a "different angle". The nurses there were wonderful. I was so stressed out the day of my testing and their kindness and great sense of humor made it alot easier. So it was neat to go through there too.

Then home to pick up the kids and go to Steve and Patti's. They have a beautiful home, but more than that they have open hearts and it is reflected in their home. Everyone was so relaxed. Kids running and having fun. Plenty of cake, and great fellowship. Their pastor did a wonderful dedication. Later, After most had left, Steve, Patti and their boys played the song they had done earlier in church . Matt Redmon's You Never Let Go. It was beautiful. I feel so blessed to count them as friends.

From there we went out to Linnette and Rob's for pizza. It has been forever since we have gotten together as families. I felt to refreshed just siting at the table talking, laughing. We love them so much and it has been a blessing to see God move in their lives. Linette is truly a sister of my heart. The cabinets Rob had put in were beautiful and. The TV room feels more cozy with the wok he has done in there. He is such a creative man. And awesome jazz pianist too!!!!

We came home tired and a few of us were a bit grumpy. But it was a good day!

Ordinary day.... no... it was a day of seeing God everywhere and acknowledging many ways he is moving in our lives and the lives of those around us.

Today is SATURDAY and my Guy is home. We live for the weekends and a chance to be together.

This morning I got up at the usual time (5:00). Once you are used to getting up early it is hard to sleep in late. So instead of just laying there wishing I could sleep later- I got up. Had my protein drink, turned on the computer and got some schoolwork planned for next week.

About 8:30 I took Robert a cup of coffee since he was sleeping in waaay late. I made him get up because I had been reading an article on the Internet that brought up some questions. It is very handy having a pastor right in your own house, especially one that loves theology. Although I bet he wishes I had waited until he got up to spring it on him. God knew what he was doing when he put us together. We had a very fruitful time discussing Calvinism vs Armenianism. I decided I am not either ...just a follower of Christ. And since that was what Paul and Peter were I know I am in good company.

Today will be very laid back ...except Robert has promised to help me rearrange the furniture in the living room. It has to be his least favorite job, so the fact that he agreed to help me really proves he loves me. I am looking forward to the day when we can get something new furniture that is not so heavy and then I will be able to move it on my own. Then watch out it ~smile~

The kids are playing team games on the computer, yesterday they spent quite a bit of time going through the demo of the latest version of Myst. I love it when they are problem solving together instead of being the problem lol


Blessings on your day

Today started out well with Robert and I going out for coffee at Bakers Street Cafe. They have the best fresh roasted coffee. It has become a bi-monthly ritual. Robert gets paid and we get to have a leisurely breakfast there. No interruptions from our three blessings. This morning I chose Peruvian blend for my coffee and a toasted bagel with Sun dried tomato spread. Mmmmmmm

Last night Robert gave Pastor the information on the online college he wishes to attend. He had asked Robert to present it to the board (to see if they would be willing to help cover the costs)
but at the last minute did not have Robert give the presentation. We talked about what this could mean and we decided not to worry. We know that God will provide a way. And to get wound up looking to people will always be a mistake. When you allow the God who hung the stars in the heavens to be in control -He will bring it to pass. I was so blessed when, after dropping Robert off at work, the Casting Crowns song Voice of Truth came on. This part of the lyrics just burst in my heart.

But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
The Voice of Truth says "Do not be afraid"

I got home to find Lexi and Ian up and Victoria languishing in bed (actually I found out later she had been up, but when she found out we had left she went back upstairs). I then took Sadie (our 12 mo Great Pyrenees) for a short walk. She is getting better about barking but we still have a ways to go. When I got back in Victoria was up and had begun school. I am glad they are being so motivated this year. the girls finished up quickly, all they are waiting for is their history quiz. Ian at this time still needs to finish his reading. He began his first chapter book last night. He is thrilled!... . so am I.

Well off to get school finished and start supper. Tonight ,Tomato pie with a salad. Yum
